Hair Gains

Just because a hair product or brand is more expensive, doesn’t mean it’s right for YOUR hair. This is something I’ve always heard from top stylists. Clients love to say “I use it because my friend uses it” or “I use it because it’s really expensive so it must be better for my hair”. Neither of these can apply when you’re trying to nourish your hair and have stronger, healthier hair as a goal! Everyone’s hair is completely different. My hair is straight, but just because your hair is straight too that you should treat it the same. Unless a well educated hairstylist can FEEL your hair when it’s wet, then how do you know what’s best for you?? Well, here are some key factors that apply to everyone when analyzing your hair’s health…

Over moisturized hair means there’s little protein in the hair. Our hair should be about 85-90% PROTEIN! Protein can easily be broken down with the products we use along with the diets & lifestyles we choose. When our hair is over moisturized, it becomes more fragile. Leading to the following symptoms: high porosity, limp & lifeless, feels gummy, & has lost it’s elasticity. When our hair has high porosity, hair color tends to fade quicker. Hair strands with high porosity have little tears and gaps in them causing the hair to absorb too much water and moisture. This leads to breakage, frizz, and tangles!

Lack of elasticity can make it hard to curl your hair or you could even lose some of your natural curl. To find out just how elastic your hair is, take a strand of your hair (that’s still attached to your head) and wet it. Once the strand is wet, stretch the hair. If the hair bounces back to its original length without breaking, then your strands are balanced. However, if the strand doesn’t bounce back, looks limp, or breaks, it’s definitely in need of a protein boost.

That’s where Goddessy Scalp Treatments come in! Infused with the best full spectrum hemp flower extract and essential oils to nourish the scalp and hair follicles. Hemp flower extract contains sooo many amazing nutrients that our hair needs! From protein to omegas, it’s sure to help strengthen your hair and create the ideal environment on your scalp for healthier hair growth. I know I said not all hair products are a one size fits all. But that’s why I’ve done my research and took almost TWO YEARS to finalize The Original Scalp Treatment. And this isn’t just ANY ol’ hair product. It’s a scalp treatment! I recommend scalp treatments for everyone because we all put so much in our hair from random shampoos to styling products. Our scalp takes a beating! Scalp treatments help slough off any build up to help our strands absorb the nutrients it needs. I never created my scalp treatments to reverse hair loss or to treat it in any way, but many people have found that it has done magical things!
